The counter on the front page was installed about 2 years after we started the website in approx 1995. After various disruptions and loss of service, it has finally reached 500,000, the 1/2 million mark, which indicates the number of visitors who have hit the front page. The distinction of the 500,000 mark goes to Michael Bartling of Germany (he was also the 400,000). Here is his profile,

My name is Michael Bartling. I am 35 years old. I am living in a small German village with about 3000 people there.
I am working as network administrator.
I collect figures since the early 70s, beginning with some Airfix-figures. Ten years later I collected ESCI figures. Then I was not interested in collecting figures for some years. 3 years ago when I had a broken leg I was remembered my collection and since that time I bought and coloured a lot of figures.
I have about 10000 figures, collect ancient, ACW and Napoleonic figures.
Napoleonic figures are my favourite subject. At this time all figures are coloured and carefully put into cases but when we have build our house in a few years, there will be room enough for a lot of dioramas.
I have a little son and he is very interested on my hobby."
