Here's the fourth contribution from Mr. Gentilini.
I have realized some resin Austrian conversions, artillery especially, waiting for the future Hat productions.
The first one is a infantryman with shako converted from ITALERI Austrian with casque. The shako is a modified ESCI French model. This hat type was adopted by Austrian infantry since 1809, starting to Hungarian regiments. In Wagram battle, German regiments wore the casque.
The second figure is an Austrian artilleryman with bicorn, converted from ESCI Prussian infantry musician. I cut off the horn, changed hat position and painted the tunic in the typical Austrian artillery brown. Austrian artillerymans wore the bicorn after 1808.
The next one is an Austrian artilleryman too, but with casque (worn in the Austerlitz battle). This figure is obtained starting an ITALERI Austrian infantryman. I simply replace the gun with the sponge staff and change the tunic color.
At last, a little diorama that represent an Austrian 3pd gun with gunners and limber, all realized in resin (gunner from ITALERI Austrian infantryman, gun limber and horses from REVELL 7YW set).
Ciao
Alessandro Gentilini.
Many thanks to Mr. Gentilini for his excellent conversions.
