This set is a larger than normal set, containing 60 figures and reflects the large and varied nature of the Persian army at the time of Alexander's conquest. It includes Persian ethnic light infantry (archers and slingers), and troops from it's allies, vassals and levies. Some of these light infantry figures may be compatible with Persian army which invaded Greece and fought with Athens and Sparta but generally the Persian infantry of the Greek conflict are not compatible with the Persian army of this period.
