This is a series of 1/72 scale decals/shield transfers for #8082 Roman Legionaries, #8064 Extra Heavy Legions and #8075 Roman Command, made by Little Big Men Studios in the UK.
These are rub off transfers that require no water. Simply cut them out, peel off the backing, press into position and press down firmly. Peel off the protective top layer and the transfer is in place. The transfers are on white backing paper so no priming is necessary. The transfers are fully shaded to look like they have been hand painted. They are specifically made for for the HaT figures so they are perfectly scaled to size.
Design notes: "Many of the designs for these have been influenced by images from Trajan's column. Most people associate early Imperial Rome with Eagle wings and Lightening bolts, but Wreaths ( a sign of victory) would be used along with designs incorporated from the nations that served in the Roman army, such as Germanics and Gauls. There is no major evidence for shield colours but Red, Blue, Black seem popular for Legionaries and Red, Blue, Yellow ,Green for Auxiliaries. This is all conjecture so there is nothing written in stone on this."
Full sheet, the two small round decals at the bottom are for the small shield for the standard bearers.
