"We do not know much about the colours of the tunics and the shields. So I decided to present different colours an different kinds of shield painting - but shield painting isn´t my favourite subject...the helmet of the auxiliary-troups are cheaper and more shabby then the helmets of the regular legionaries: They are only made of bronze, without a cover of tin."
