Wow, the first contribution of 2000! Many thanks to Mr. Niklas Larsson, who is a long time visitor, for his interesting contribution.
First of all I would like to thank you everyone that has sent in conversions in the past! (and hopefully will continue to do so in the future!) It has always been a pleasure to see my fellow collectors' technique and imaginative ways of solving problems with bad glue, fragile plastic, research etc. Now it is my turn to give a little contribution to you! I have made conversions of superheroes! in this case The Fantastic Four. Which I think that many of you may recognize from comics produced by Marvel. They were my childhood's favorites. As you can see on the picture I have used figures from two sets. The first is Airfix S47 RAF personnel which gave me Jonny Storm also known as "The torch" and Susan Storm "Invisible woman" later married to Mr. Fantastic. The second set is Revell's German paratroopers who provided me with "Mr. Fantasic" Reed Richards and finally Ben Grimm known as "Big Ben" (One wonders what Göring would have thought of this he already did have one big strong guy in the paratroopers... Max Schmeeling, a heavyweight boxing champion of the world in the thirties!) Well I wish you all a good new Millenium!
Niklas Larsson
