The following is a contribution sent in by long time visitor, Ross Macfarlane of Canada. The figures are conversions of our 1/32 scale Hastati and heavy Carthaginians, converted to Italian infantry and Macedonian pikemen.
"When I went to replace the spears, I found that my brass wire was the same size as the plastic spears so I was able to cut off the spear at the left hand, drill a whole and glue in a length of wire then drill a whole in the spearhead and reattach it."
"Since mail was not common amongst the Macedonians I converted some figures to scale armour. The various trumpets as well as helmet crests are formed from epoxy putty over wire."
1st Picture: Italian infantry fights their way past the pike points
2nd picture. More Pikemen.
Many thanks to Mr. Macfarlane for his contribution.
