Brist’s beautifully painted Swedish battery brings this unusual Napoleonic subject vividly to life. The bright blue uniforms, white plumes and yellow details stand out dramatically against the smoke-filled battlefield, while the carefully finished gun shows off the additional detail made possible by its multi-part construction. The crew poses and interchangeable arm options create a convincing scene of Swedish artillery in action. The cannon dominates the foreground nicely, while the blurred Swedish flag and troops emerging through the smoke give the scene a wonderful sense of depth.
For this set, a more detailed approach was taken to the gun carriage: instead of the usual single-piece construction, the carriage is assembled from five main pieces, allowing finer detail and a more accurate representation. One of the figures is supplied with three interchangeable arm options to provide additional variety and versatility. Also included are two cannon barrels, an ammunition box to fit on the carriage and the ever useful utility bucket.
