Here is another contribution from Mr. Rafael González of Spain.
"This kind of toys were more popular in Europe. I suppose that these were a good cheap alternative to the e xpensive metal toys in the post-war Europe, before the massive use of the plastic in general industry and also in the toys industry. I think these paper-figures are the antecedent of our small plastic figures. These examples of Spanish small paper-figures were made in Barcelona in 1961 by "Recortables Bruguera".
They aren't very correct in uniforms, but some poses are very good and dynamic. The size is very irregular: 25 mm French, 27-28 mm Spanish, 26 mm Hesse-Cassel, 28 mm Indians Brigade, 30 mm samurais and French paras, or 22-23 of the cavalries.

Many thanks to Rafael González for sending in this contribution.
