Contribution from Werner Kattinger of Austria.
"The diorama depicts the Allies' final push through in the summer of 1918. U.S. and French troops attack a German second trenchline. All are wearing helmets by this time in the war. A female MkIV has broken into part of the trench sometime earlier, but had to be abandoned in the event. Now a light Renault tank is supporting the attack ( I am not sure though if units of both the heavy and light tank regiment ever were present at the same place and time). Figures are Airfix/Hät and Revell. For the terrain I used blocks normally intended to serve as the base for artificial flower bouquets. Can be bought in any home-improvement store and can be molded by hand into almost any shape. In the one pic showing part of the German trench with 3 German soldiers in it, note the hand-grenades readily put in front of the soldier to the right for quick use, the soldier to the left being a sharpshooter and the gas-alarm triangle further to the left."
Many thanks to Mr. Werner Kattinger.
