A contribution from David Ducouret of France:
"I know the figures I usually send are of the French Revolution and Napoleonic wars (as a huge number of boxes are dedicated to this period), but here is a small and easy conversion I've made of two French fusiliers (Hat, box 8041) to turn them into NCO's of the French Foreign Legion in 1832-1833.
This unit was created in 1831 by King Louis-Philippe, and was composed of soldiers from foreign countries with French officers.
These two figures are shown in the uniform they wore in 1832 in Africa, with a new cap that replaced the shako. But I will spare you, the purpose of this page is not writting books but sending figures. I hope you'll enjoy my work (as there are more to come...), the conversion was not difficult but I like the result."
Many thanks to Mr. David Ducouret for sharing his figures with us.
