From Drew Guest of USA.
I've attached a scan of some of my conversions and a picture of the samurai.
L to R from the top: 4 Yari Ashigaru from 16th century Japan (all converted from Revell 30 year's war pike-men. The pikes are toothpicks…)
John Steed from the Avengers next to the stock figure (revel German pioneers minesweeper. The right arm is from a Revell Australian infantryman), a Samurai with Daito (from the flag-bearer from the Revell 30 year's war Imperial Infantry set), a Yari Ashigaru (same as above).
My rendition of Oda Nobunaga next to the stock figure (a Revell 30 year's war Swedish cavalryman on an Italeri Mongol horse), and a Samurai with No-Dachi next to the stock figure (Revell 100 year's war English foot-soldier).
Most of the conversion on these figures was done with epoxy putty. I also used a soldering iron to bend limbs and to scribe details. The swords for the Samurai are made from pieces of rectangular cross-section wire.
Many thanks to Mr. Guest for his contribution.
