Hello,
Over the last weeks I painted up some of your excellent Assyrians. They will be an army for "Fields of Glory" one day, for which they are based. Until then, here are a few pics of the troops that make up the army. I hope you like them.
Best wishes,
Mr. Butterweck
Germany
Kisir Sharuti Infantry
Guard Infantry
Cavalry
Allied Infantry
Allied Infantry Archers
Guard Archers
Armoured Slingers (were sometimes deployed together with archers. The archers fired in a low trajectory, while the slingers fired high. Like this, the enemy couldn't find shelter from the projectiles.)
Chariots
The King in his charriot (Holding up arrows in your right hand, was a popular sign of victory amongst the Assyrians.)
Many thanks to Mr. Butterweck.
