Hi !
My DBA Achaemenid Persian army is ready at last. It was delayed because the almost finished mounted troops (including the chariot) fell twice on the floor (kid accident then cat accident).
The documentation that I used includes:
- Armies of the Macedonian and Punic Wars by D.Head
- The Persian Army by N. Sekunda and S. Chew
I followed the hypothesis that the native persian troops wore yellow hoods.
I hope you like them.

(Webmaster's note: Some of the figures in the pics are not HaT figures.)
This is the complete army
Extra-heavy cavalry: these men are noble persians with extra heavy body armour. The horses have an armor too.
Closeups:
Medium Cavalry (including the general element): these men are also noble persians of high status.
Some of them have the honorific status of "kinsmen".
Closeups:
Light Cavalry:the left element represents Parthyaian horse archers, and the right element represent Bactrian cavalrymen.
(The last one on the right is slightly converted from medium cavalry: a bow replaces the original sword, and a quiver has been added)
Heavy infantry: you can see two elements of kardakes (one of the element represents the Blue regiment of Immortals),
one element of royal Applebearers and one element of greek mercenary hoplites.
Psiloi: they were mainly composed of archers and slingers
The cavalry forming a line:
