My Free India Army has all the figures with either a new head with turban, new headgear with Atlantic Afrika Korp cap, or helmet. I have tried to give all of them something that makes them look 'Indian" so they don't look like regular German Infantry. Most of those with a helmet have a kukri or other large knife from the Atlantic Indian Army set. It is too bad this set is out of production since I hate chopping up figures they don't make anymore, but it is a rather poor set generally and I don't do the British Empire or English Army anyway.
This was a small formation and composed on Hindus and Muslims, and from photos it seems about a third wore turbans. My turban ratio is a bit larger in order to make the unit a bit more distinctive. Despite the limited Armourfast and HaT WWII product selection, there is a significant HaT contribution that will be more apparent in later photos as I progress. Since Armourfast is making their quick build tanks, perhaps making tank crews and tank replenishment troops would be a good move for them. Dismounted tank crews are interesting and distinctive troops, no one makes them in plastic and as far as I know there is no one planning to make them.
Many thanks to Mr. Creek.
