Building a colonial era gunboat
Mr. Nuno M. Cabeçadas
Portugal
The supports are made from tooth sticks. The box was used to made the paddle covers from the previous model, so everything is put to use. A few more will be added to link the upper platform to the deck side guards. The funnel and the thread guards are still missing and still may add something to the deck, but I don't want to lose too much room because this model is more "wargame oriented". As before, the armment and crew should come from the future HaT releases.
Just a little more advanced here: windows, a few supports, funnel are already in place and the deck and inside is already painted. Soon, when I get a few clips, supports for the side guards protecting the paths bethween the platforms will be added. Probably also will add a tissue over the front platform as a protection against the hot Sun, as I did with the other ship and extra supports bellow the two platforms. I may also add platform for a gun in the front, but I'm open to suggestions. The boat is not painted because I still haven't decided if want it white or light grey.
Not too much new here, just have sanded a few surfaces and added a first layer of grey. The upper part isn't glued to the hull yet. A few details are still missing, as the sideguards, maybe a gun platform, covers, etc, but is more close to the final layout.
Many thanks to Mr. Nuno M. Cabeçadas.
