Hi:
Attached some pictures of my last work, called 'Vistula Legion'.
While looking for information on Saragosse's sieges I remembered the big number of foreign units serving in the French Napoleonic army, for example, the Vistula Legion. This Polish unit was infantry and some light cavarly. The lancers wore black czapkas, dark blue kurtka with yellow facings, collars and cuffs. White epaulettes were worn. Trumpeters wore multi-coloured costumes. Lance-pennons were red-over-white.
A group of these horse lancers come in among the side-streets of Saragosse, support-less. These men died far by home, massacred by the furious people...
Cheers, saludos a todos.
Juan Carlos Pascual.
