Here is a picture of a snow white US M4A3. It has the additional sandbag protection which was so typical of US units late in 1944 and early 1945 (as armour, it made no difference to the protection as a panzerfaust or AT round would still penetrate - but it did give the crews a bit more confidence).
The M4A3 literally nearly had its career cut short by a lawnmower! I was spraying it outdoors, went inside for some bits, the wind picked up blew it on the grass and my father-in-law mowed it. The body was unharmed but the turret had a big chunk cut out on the left hand side. Rebuilt, repainted with many extras, it has returned to action and is one of the very few US tanks I have with snow camouflage (and the only one to ever be mowed down...).
