The Gallic or "Barbarian" cavalry were plentiful in contrast to the Roman cavalry and in fact after Roman defeated the Gauls, they supplied the Romans with this sorely needed arm. This set can also be used with ESCI's Barbarian Warriors and/or Revell's Celts/Gauls to fight against the Imperial Romans or with the Imperial Romans as auxilliary cavalry.
There are 12 mounted figures per box, 4 poses of riders and 2 of horses. The cavalry at this time were either protected by chain mail or wore tunics. The Gauls liked to attach animals or horns or plumes to their helmets, our figures reflect this. Here are the riders.
To customize your figures, you can give figure #1 a sword (not included) or trim figure #2's spear into a sword.
You can also trim the decorations off some of the helmets. Only the leaders had decorations so you can trim the extras off the helmets to make the others followers
The following are the 2 gallic horses.
