WW2 German Horse Drawn Wagon Hf3


The Hf3 (Kleine Heeresfeldwagen) was a small field wagon that was developed from the WW1 Kleiner Proviantwagen 16. It was smaller and carried less tonnage than the Hf1 or Hf2 wagons. As a units wagon it was used at the Zug and Kompanie level and was especially useful in terrain where vehicles were inoperable.

It's standard usage included: ammo, tool and equipment, repair, supply, baggage, food and cargo wagons. It also specialized as comms, combat and smithy versions. It came in sprung and unsprung versions.

Modified, sprung:
Hf.3/1 = Communication equipment,
Hf.3/2 = Light telephone

Modified, unsprung:
Hf.3/11 = Small combat,
Hf.3/12 = Small smithy.
